Configuring Remote MySQL Access
To enable remote MySQL access for your database hosted with O2OHost, follow these steps:
Log In to the Control Panel:
- Access your O2OHost control panel by logging in with your credentials.
Navigate to the Database Package:
- Go to Manage Hosting and select the hosting package that contains your desired database.
Access Remote MySQL Configuration:
- Click Options and then Manage to view the hosting package overview.
- Scroll down to the Web Tools section and click on the Remote MySQL Access icon.
Add Remote Access Host:
- Under Add Access Host, select the database user you wish to connect to remotely from the dropdown menu.
- Enter the IP address from which you will be connecting. The current IP address is added automatically, but you can customize it or use % as a wildcard to allow all IP addresses.
- Click Add Host to save the settings.
Note the Hostname:
- For remote connections, use mysql.gb.stackcp.com as the hostname, instead of the standard database hostname.
